The greatest barrier to the on-going education of girls and boys is their ability to pay for school-related costs. This project supports children in Cameroon who are at risk of dropping out of school by providing them with school books and supplies. The challenge to getting these supplies to the children that need them is the cost of shipping the supplies to Cameroon. Help Develop Africa get the supplies we have in the hands of the children that desperately need them.
According to data available for 2011, 47.7% of girls and 56.7% of boys attended primary school. The low school enrolment rate was attributed to cost, with girls' participation further reduced by early marriage, sexual harassment, unwanted pregnancy, domestic responsibilities, and certain socio-cultural biases. This project covers the cost of shipping school books and supplies to help educate children in Cameroon.
Funds from this project will help girls and boys to stay in school, complete their education and pursue their desired profession. Your support will help provide school books and supplies the children need for their primary school class work.
Healthy, well-educated and emancipated women and men are an excellent foundation for a new and free society. Your support will help girls and boys to finish school, become independent and self-sufficient. Children who complete their education are better equipped to pursue their dreams, increase their ability to be financially independent and contribute to national development.
