Nu is a 9 year old boy, whose family has just re-immigrated back into Bangkok, after having gone back to the parents' village home. They had sold their belongings to start a new life in the village, however, after 8 months of staying there, they found that the family was unable to make ends meet. As a result, they decided to come back to Bangkok to re-start life in the city, anew. The family has come back with little left in their pockets looking to make a living and find school for Nu.
Nu and his 48 year old father (Ken) and mom (Jib) are back to the capital city because they were unable to make ends meet in the village in the north-east province of Nakhon Panom. Coming to Bangkok with only just enough to buy their one-way bus ticket, the family literally has to start from scratch.
Give Nu a chance to get back to school, and his parents find enough for 3 meals a day, in the busy and impersonal capital city. Also to allow Nu to join an activity centre where he will be able to spend his free time in a safe and nurturing environment, as where they are now living in the rented room, is small and neighbourhood is risky, with alcoholism, gambling and drugs. They had to stay here because it is the cheapest that they can find for the moment
Help the family to be self-sufficient. Nu will be given an education in the neighborhood government school, Nu's dad will a have job as handyman in the Foundation for at least 6 months to tie him over this difficult time while Nu's mom will have seed fund to help her in selling BBQ fishballs, This will also provide Nu with 52 weeks of purposeful programs and activities that build his character, giving him good, clean fun, help Nu make right choices in life and prevent delinquent behaviours
