Welcome to all our new KTD196 supporters to OUR Community.

Firstly, let me just say thank you to all of you for your ongoing support and commitment to the children we serve throughout Limpopo Province. Last year it was primarily just Greater Tzaneen Sub-District of Limpopo but now, through your support we are spreading throughout Limpopo Province. Check out the map below to see how far and wide you have enabled us to spread. It’s not just the geographical spread but the increase in the numbers of children we can serve, which is all due to your ongoing support.

Secondly, this is a platform where you can ask questions and I can answer them. This is also where I share the latest updates and news about KTD196. So please, if you want to know anything just email me at keepthedream196@gmail.com and then I will respond here so that everyone will understand what is happening. I also, from time to time share comments from our supporters so that you will hear from people that have actually visited us and are supporting us, so you can rest assured knowing your support is making a difference to children in the Province.

Over the last week we have been relocating our offices from a farm cottage to town. This was only possible through the support we received from one of our Community Partners, The Kings Court Christian School who provided a bakkie (ute, truck depending on where you live) and 5workers. They are as dedicated to our success as we are. The Principal of the school serves as our Chairman and is just as excited as we are about this new phase in the life of KTD196. It will be greater capacity to reach more children in the province and allow for the expansion that I have been talking about.

Tuesday was our first day as we opened for business with a Tutor training for staff and 3 staff members from another partner organizations! When we do our usual trainings, we break the larger group up into smaller groups and each group has a Tutor! The Tutor Training is where the adults learn how to facilitate the small groups into learning groups, so they can achieve the learning outcomes for each module presented. It’s a skill and an art form, which we teach our leaders to maximise the learners training with us. This is then carried on to the children, so the children learn tutoring and training skills in the same manner.

The rest of this week we will be doing site visits, going out to our community partners in and around Greater Tzaneen plus training in Journey of Life for parents over the next 3months, but more about that later.

Finally, I just want to thank you all for walking this journey with us. I hope you are as excited about what is happening in KTD196 as we are because this is a new season and already it is promising with what is happening in our programs.

Blessings to you all,

Louise
