This project will provide part of the funding needed to invest a small business at the HTDC orphanage. When we've raised $500 per child, the orphanage will be able to buy a bus and make a monthly profit. That profit will provide for Bodlina. Bodlina abandoned after her father was killed in a motorcycle accident and her mother died of an illness. She's a lovely, energetic girl who loves to play with other kids. By contributing towards the orphanage's business you'll give her a secure future.
The orphanage receives no financial support from the government, so they have to care for kids like Bodlina on their own. The orphanage is thankful for the donors who have suppoed Bodlina since 2010, but relying on handouts leaves them vulnerable. They need to be financially independent.
By helping the orphanage start a business selling eggs to make its own profit, you reduce the orphanage's reliance on the kindness of strangers. That means that the orphanage will be able to meet the needs of kids like Bodlina without having to hope for donations. Financial independence helps all the kids in the orphanage's care have a more secure future!
Once we have raised $500 per child at the orphanage, for a total of $15,000, the orphanage will secure a monthly profit of around $750 after all costs are paid. Those profits will move the orphanage towards financial independence and ensure that the orphanage can survive into the future regardless of where donors choose to give their funds. The older children at the orphanage will also be involved in maintaining the vehicle, teaching them important lessons about responsibility.
