A new school year has begun in Afghanistan, and as promised, we’re writing to update you on the student who received the scholarship that you helped to fund! A young boy named Danial will be attending a private school in Herat province, thanks to your generosity. Danial father is a manager and the family could not afford to send Danial to school. Because of your help, Danial will be in preschool this school year.
Above you can see Danial and hisclassmates who also received scholarships. In all, through GlobalGiving and other sources, we were able to provide 73 scholarships to students just like Danial to study at private schools in Afghanistan this school year! We’d like to thank you once again for supporting our efforts to provide a high quality education to as many students as possible. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your generous donations. This scholarship has now been fully funded, and the staff has selected the boy who will receive the scholarship. This scholarship has been given to a boy who is attending a private school in either Herat or Kabul and will pay for his uniform, books, supplies and tuition. Without this scholarship, he would not have access to the high quality education, which he will now receive. Your donation has helped to change the course of one boy’s life, by making his dream of attending school a reality.
Once we have more information from our Afghan partners about the boy who was awarded the scholarship, we will pass along as much information as we are able to. Again, thank you so much for your donations – they truly do make a difference!
