A devastating 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck eastern Turkey on Sunday, Oct 23, 2011, causing many casualties and several buildings to collapse. At least 471 people were killed and more than 1,650 were injured. The mayor in the region has put out an urgent request for aid to help with disaster relief and recovery efforts. As Turkish American community we are also helping people in urgent need. Our help will be directed to Kizilay(Turkish Red Crescent).

This is a time for unity!
