This project provides micro loans and business training to 50 women "local entrepreneurs" impacted by HIV/AIDS in Zambia. The beneficiaries become self reliant and are able to break the poverty cycle.
The Chikumbuso community continues to educate the orphans in their program who have graduated from fifth grade. We do this by asking for student sponsorship to go to a local community high school.

At PIZZ School Mrs. Sianga provides a loving and caring environment for more than 300 vulnerable children, mostly orphans, to obtain a good education and grow in maturity and confidence.
Chikumbuso is expanding to include 6th grade! Donations will provide textbooks and school supplies for our 35 current 5th grade graduates as we open our new classroom.
This project will provide food, medicine, and life saving health care services for one year to 25 HIV positive children in Zambia. As the health of children stabalizes, the better they will perform in school.

This project will apply an integrated approach to the pervasive problem of illness, food insecurity and dependency, which stretches the resources of impoverished communities in the Copperbelt province of Zambia. Project participants will receive Heifer value-based training in animal husbandry and health, gender equality issues, group organizational capacity, and basic record keeping before placement of food-and-income-producing livestock and other support.
