Celebrating Success with the Moringa Tree Project

Dear Donor,

We are happy to report that our Moringa Tree Project is doing well and the trees that are planted are thriving. In the beginning, we had challenges with downpours washing the seedlings away, animals munching on them, and drought taking its toll on the tender seedlings.

Now that we are beyond that fragile stage, we are encouraged and excited for everyone involved. Our trainer Dickson Omandi loves children and inspires them with his enthusiasm for all aspects of sustainable farming methods. He teaches them about the moringa tree uses, encourages them all to take the trees home for their families and distributes more moringa seeds to plant.

We apprecaite your ongoing support and following our project. Those of you who are contributing each month through a subscription, you are helping immensely as the children are able to continue to plant trees and your generosity supports their school tuition through the moringa scholarship fund.

Thank you!

Can the Cycle of Sex Trafficking be Stopped?

Dear Donor,

We have seen that it can. As a person who cares about the issue of human trafficking, I want to thank you for taking a step to make a difference and join us in supporting heroes who are in these communities doing this important work. Urmi Basu, the Founder and Director of New Light India is one of those rare individuals who has devoted her life to helping children and women who have been victims of human trafficking.

While we raise money to build another shelter and safe home for the children, we appreciate those of you who have been so generous in helping us support the education and physical needs of the children. The care at the shelter is palpable and each child feels loved and cherished-a far cry from their life on the street. The children see doctors, are put in school, and many of the girls are entering college and vocational schools.

I know I speak for many when I thank you wholeheartedly for your generous support. We want to particularly thank the subscription donors who have decided to give an automatic monthly donation. Your support means so much.

Can the cycle of human slavery and sex trafficking be stopped? We are witnessing it every day. Please click on this link to read the article from a volunteer at New Light. http://www.villagevolunteers.org/volunteer-journals-india/volunteering-at-new-light-by-dina-bennett/

We are almost there.....

Dear friends,

Thank you for your past donation in helping to build a girls dormitory for Pathfinder Academy in Kenya. We are delighted that recently we recieved a donation from Google and Jolkona that will take us closer to our goal of building the girls dormitory. The dormitory now has a foundation and we are so grateful to you for your generosity in helping us make this much needed "safe home" a reality. We will post photos as the walls go up.

Thanks again for your help in getting this much needed help to the girls at Pathfinder Academy.

Best wishes,

Shana
