Our girls will graduate next year

Another one of our girls Suna with her mother
Another one of our girls Suna with her mother

Our project has completed its third year and 250 girls we have been supporting will graduate from high school next year.We need to support them for one more year and then we will be funding another group of girls until one day we will reach our goal of 1000 years- all with your help.

We need the continuation of your precious support to see these girls graduate from high school.

Ecem from Sivas is one the girls with a broken family; her parents are divorced for almost 8 years and father has remarried. She has another sibling and they live with their mother in a single room and with assistance from the Municipality. She does not have a place of her own to study but she still dreams of becoming a doctor. She says "we see on TV many girls who cannot go to school.I do not want to be one of them.I need your support to go on studying."

So please keep your support; a small donation makes a great change in a girl's life.It gives them hope and courage to run after their dreams..And we feel proud to have given them this opportunity...

Let's support our 250 girls to chase their dreams

Seyda with mom- one of the 250 girls
Seyda with mom- one of the 250 girls

We thank you for your valuable support; so far we have together given 250 girls the opportunity to go to school. These girls now want to go on with their education and change their destiny. So we need even more of your support to keep them in school. Now that we have given them the hope , we belive we have to keep up that hope alive..

Seyda from Nigde says “We are five sisters and my father doesn’t have the means to support our education.I know that no one ever wants to give their daughters an education. In the villages girls are not given any importance at all. I wish all the girls could study and make their parents proud. My mother used to say:”How I wish you could somehow find a way to go to school and study”…..

Seyda then participated in a poetry contest, won first prize and the sun rose upon her;she was chosen for CYDD scholarship. She now is full of hope for her future and says “From now on the concept of ‘not receiving an education’ is banished from my life.I am grateful to my parents and teachers who have believed in me and supported me.I will give my biggest thanks when I manage to make my dreams come true.”

So please keep up your support; a small donation makes a big change in a girl’s life. It gives them hope and courage to run after their dreams…And we feel proud to have given them this opportunity.

Our 250 girls want to chase their dreams…Let us help them to do so..

All with your help we saved 250 girls from becoming child brides..

Seda with her 3 sisters and mom in her village
Seda with her 3 sisters and mom in her village

In the past two years, we have changed the lives of 250 girls giving them scholarships thus an opportunity to go to school ,all with your help.A recent survey showed that one in every 3 girl in eastern Turkey is a child bride.Girls are considered a burden to the families and married off early. If we can help them to go to school, they will have the prospect of making money, no longer be burdens to their families and choose when and whom to marry. Educated mothers will help break this cycle. Please continue your support and help us to have a lasting impact on the lives of many girls who are eager and determined to get education.

Seda from Nigde knows she will rescue her family from poverty if she can go to school and become a police officer:

“My name is Seda.I'm in the 6th grade.I have 3 sisters. My mother works hard for us:in the summer she goes to fields to pick strawberries, in the winter potatoes. While working mom forgets about herself, she even forgets to eat. When I come back from school I help her with housework. Food is a problem for us, sometimes we have nothing but breakfast, but mom tries to find something to eat.Since we don't have a stove at home, I sometimes feel cold; but I cuddle with my sisters and we don't feel the cold.

My dream is to go to high school and university and become a police officer in order to ease the pain of my mother and sisters.I really want to get an education, have a profession and thus rescue my family from poverty".

Every small donation helps to change a life and we feel privileged to be able to help them build a future for themselves. We thank you for your contributions..
