Mission
The purpose of BasicNeeds Ghana is to enable people with mental disorders to live and work successfully in their own communities.
Our strategic goals are: (1) deliver mental health and development services using BasicNeeds' Model for Mental Health and Development - a community-based, holistic approach; (2) support mental health advocacy through user-led, health and development initiatives; (3) build partnerships and diversified, sustainable funding base of BasicNeeds Ghana.
Programs
BasicNeeds Ghana works to: promote integrated community-based mental health treatment services for the poor; provides livelihoods skills training and financing for secure livelihoods of people with mental disorders and their families; engages and influences key decision makers to scale up services for mental health and development using evidence generated from our programmes; supports organisation of users and carers to self-advocate.
