LEND is dedicated to fighting poverty within Evanston by empowering and supporting the entrepreneurial aspirations of our neighbors. By offering small loans and consulting services to local entrepreneurs, LEND encourages the development of innovative businesses that enrich the Evanston community. Utilizing the unique skills of Northwestern's talented student body to support our clients through comprehensive, rigorous and systematic training, LEND seeks to create an environment in which low-income Evanston residents can obtain the business skills and capital they need to realize their entrepreneurial dreams.

LEND provides microloans and business training to credit-constrained entrepreneurs in Evanston/Chicago, IL, who want to start a business but lack the background or access to resources to do so. Run by undergraduates at Northwestern University, LEND seeks to help these individuals reach financial self-sufficiency. Our work has visibly strengthened both the local community and economy, and we seek to serve more clients.
