Sonic Peacemakers 2015

Sonic Peacemakers has been working on different collaborations most recently in Los Angeles with Overloads Farhad Humayan as well as planning the next trip to Pakistan and Afghanistan in early 2015 for more collaborations and work at such schools as Humaira's Bachals dream school in Karachi and collaborations with atif aslam in Lahore-                            SP will also be travelling to Kabul to assist with a family who lost two daughters to a suciide bombing in 2012-the family has 3 kids bewteen 6,7,8 who need assiatance with school and other basic necessities                                                     Sp will also collaborate with local musicians and give music instruction to disadvantaged kids

Sonic Peacemakers Fall 2014

On September 8 Sonic Peacemakers will commemorate the 2 year anniversary of the tragic suicide bombing of Afghan sisters Parwana and Korshid killed while warning US military personel by releasing a homemade video called "The Exploding Crucifixion."

Plans are still being worked on for Lanny's next trip to Pakistan and Afgahnistan to assist with the family of Parwana and Korshid as well as ongoing projects in Karachi-Lahore and Islamabad.

Recordings are currently taking place in Los Angeles for the Projects "An Afghan Lullaby"and Pakistan (I Have a Dream)- Lanny along with Farhad Humayun from Pakistani band Overload performed in Los Angeles August 2014 promoting Sonic Peacemakers message of hope & healing through music-Lanny has begun working with veterans in a healing through music effort with the aim of bringing togethervets from Pakistan and Afghanistan with vets from the US to promote peace and harmony.

Sonic Peacemakers Summer 2014

Sonic Peacemakers Lanny Cordola has just completed a new collection of songs called "An Afghan Lullaby" inspired by his recent trip through Pakistan and Afghanistan-on september 8 2012 sisters Parwana and Korshid were killed in a suicide bombing outside the american military station in Kabul and this song cycle aims to give voice to this tragedy-it will be a collaboration with musicians from the west-pakistan and afghanistan-                                                                                

More musical parts have been added to "Malala" the tribute song to Malala Yousafzai such as electric guitars-sarangi-bansuri-percussion-this song features the renowned singer Sanam Marvi and is striving for a release sometime this year-

This summer we are exploring other collaborations and fund raising opportunities to expand the Sonic Peacemakers vision of hope-healing and peace through music-

Sonic Peacemakers is also planning Lanny's next trip to Pakistan and Afghanistan to conticue the outreach to kids living in poverty stricken areas and conflict zones as well as assiting with groups like humaira bachal's dream school in karachi by bringing musical instrumensts and other needed materials and to visit the family of parwana and korshid in kabul,afghanistan- as well as other ongoing projects in lahore-islamabad-multan and sialkot
