SCC will develop a committed staff team to work through a network of monks, nuns and other local and national stakeholder groups to develop capacity, reduce vulnerability and provide a range of supports for people living with HIV/AIDS and their families, so that they are able to claim their rights and improve their lives.

Programs

1) Income Generation Programs for HIV+ and poorest families (microlending, agro-lending, saving groups, vocational training) 2) Schools for Orphaned and Vulnerable Children (OVC) of HIV+ families 3) Home visits to People living with HIV (PLHIV) and OVC 4) HIV prevention education 5) Mental and spiritual support by our network of Buddhist Monks and Nuns 6) Funeral support for family members of people who die of AIDS 7) Material support (food, water filters etc.) 8) Miscellaneous support (to repair homes, to buy food, medicine etc) 9) Harm Reduction Project to improve the health of Drug Users (particularly preventing HIV) 10) Workshops on Human Rights and Gender Equality
