I am 15 years old and in my 3rd year in middle school. During the school year, I live with my aunt in a village six kms from school. In the mornings I drink millet porridge before going to school. The school environment is very good and learning is taken very seriously. My parents are subsistence farmers in the village of Touya which is 31 kilometers from school. I have four sisters and five brothers. Only three of them go to school and I hope that they will be able to go to this school. (view small | med | large | orig)

I am starting secondary school. My parents are subsistence farmers in Douma, 45 kms from Ouahigouya. I graduated from middle school here last year. The teachers here are serious and the school work is rewarding. I hope to earn my secondary diploma here at the Lycée Moderne de l'Amitie. I want to become a mathematics professor. While in school, I live in Ouahigouya with my brother who is a mechanic. I go six kms each day to school. We have no breakfast so I appreciate the noon meal here. (view small | med | large | orig)

I am 14 years old and I am in my second year of middle school. My parents are subsistence farmers. I have four brothers and sisters. I come from the village of Kayegue which is 40 kilometers from Ouahigouya where I live with a friend of my father's during the school year. I walk to and from school each day. We do not eat breakfast in the morning. With the canteen, I can eat at noon which I appreciate very much. I am happy to be at the Lycée Moderne de l' Amitie. I am learning a lot.
