ASSIST's mission is to equip the most underprivileged members of Indian society to be able to fight with strength, courage and confidence in response to their own political, social and economic needs. Our goals are * To build communities as viable units for their own development * To promote the active involvement of target groups through people's organisations * To make communites that are able to sustain their unity, value system and development, and to carry forward the work on their own.
