Libraries Across Africa

The mission of Libraries Across Africa (LAA) is to radically accelerate the construction of public libraries in Africa in order to provide information access, for the largest number, at the least cost. LAA was unofficially founded in 2010 with seed funding from the World Bank Institute, but the organization is still in the process of being launched.

Programs

Libraries Across Africa is currently in the process of manufacturing a prototype library built in the US and sent overseas (Ghana).
