The Ouelessebougou Alliance works in cooperation with 25 rural villages in the Ouelessebougou region of Mali, West Africa. Our projects are in the areas of health, education and economic development. The Alliance works with villages based on both their need and commitment to each project and is committed to training and capacity building. In every project, the Alliance is committed to the principles of ownership, sustainability and accountability.

The Ouelessebougou Alliance works in cooperation with 25 rural villages in the Ouelessebougou region of Mali, West Africa. Our projects are in the areas of health, education and economic development. The Alliance works with villages based on both their need and commitment to each project and is committed to training and capacity building. In every project, the Alliance is committed to the principles of ownership, sustainability and accountability.

Programs

We partner with 25 villages in the region of Ouelessebougou, Mali, West Africa to provide health, education and economic development opportunities. Our Health programs include vaccinations, mosquito nets, health agents and matrons in 25, work with villages to create health councils that participate in 3 phase health trainings, build wells, provide bleach for clean water and partner with local doctors to do an ophthalmology, ob/gyn and dental expeditions. Our Education programs include construction of classes for K-6th, village education councils and 3 phase Education plans, adult literacy, installing solar panels, building latrines and handwashing stations in village schools, teacher training, CAP supervision and providing bench desks, school supplies and text books. Our Economic Development program included loans to villages and individual villagers.
