Children's Healing Art Project (CHAP) brings the healing power of art to children in crisis through a mobile team of teaching artists working in local hospitals, clinics and community art spaces. Research demonstrates the importance of art in the healing process: It helps patients and family members cope, encourages compliance with treatment plans, increases self-confidence, encourages self-expression, reduces stress, pain, isolation and anxiety and promotes quality of life.

Children's Healing Art Project (CHAP) brings the healing power of art to children in crisis through a mobile team of teaching artists working in local hospitals, clinics and community art spaces. Programs

Hospital Programs: CHAP's Mobile Art Studio features an unlimited, ever-changing array of art supplies and projects, and teaching artists trained to spark imaginations to life. All activities are based on the wishes, needs, and choices of children & their families. CHAP also offers 'Art Club' which is an art program that allows for continued healing outside of the hospital.
