Former Thunder Player sets NCAA record

Dacia Hale
Dacia Hale

Dacia Hale, who played for Thunder softball from the ages of 10-18, set or tied multiple records in the spring of 2012 for Louisiana Tech Softball.

Hale launched three home runs in one game, including a grand slam. Her performance set the Western Athletic Conference tournament record and LA Tech single game home run record, and RBI record (11), as well as LA Tech's bases record (12). The 11 RBI's also tied the NCAA single game record. She was nominated for ESPN player of the week for her performance.

Not surprisingly, she was named to the WAC all-tourney team.

Oregon Thunder Player Earns League Award

We are proud that our girls participate in other sports as well as softball, we have had many players from our organization being named to all state teams in more than just softball. Please see link below for the latest honor to be received by an Oregon Thunder player. We are very proud of all of our girls and the hard work they not only put into softball but their other sports and school as well.

This past weekend our girls held their skills clinic for our local recreation league, it is always well attended and our girls really love working with the younger girls. The skills concentrated on at the clinic are catching, throwing, hitting, and pitching. Next weekend will be the final clinic which will be for hitting and pitching.
