Programs

LIN provides support to local not-for-profit orgnizations and groups that seek to improve access to opportunities for disadvantaged communities. Our six key programs are briefly introduced below: 1. LIN Community Center - With a library, not-for-profit organization (NPO) incubator workspaces, LIN office, meeting, training and one-on-one consultation rooms, we aim to become a second home for NPO staff, volunteers and donors. 2. Capacity Building for Not-for-Profit Organizations - LIN hosts workshops, training, peer meetings and an online forum focusing on organizational development for NPO staff and volunteers. 3. Narrow the Gap Community Fund - By engaging people with a shared vision, by pooling available resources and by investing in and monitoring projects that address local needs, the Fund offers donors - large and small, a chance to make a bigger impact. 4. Nonprofit - Skilled Volunteer Matching - LIN connects local NPO staff with individual (or groups of) skilled volunteers who provide targeted support designed to improve organizational capacity and program effectiveness. 5. Philanthropy Advisory Services - Through one-on-one consultations, information sharing, facilitated community engagement projects and customized support services, LIN helps donors that want to engage in strategic philanthropy. 6. Network Building - LIN fosters strategic community engagement by facilitating linkages among NPOs, donors and skilled volunteers. (One example is www.VietnamCauses.org. Coming in 2014, we will launch www.BlueBees.org.)
