Programs

VNDF's programs fall along 4 primary lines - education, employment, affordable credit, and access to quality healthcare. Each of these four areas are interconnected and critical to helping individuals and families break the intergenerational cycle of poverty into which they were born. Education: VNDF helps fund pre-K-12 schools, raise sponsorship funds for individual students and teachers, provide teacher training, collect and distribute learning materials, curriculum and tools. Employment: VNDF provides seed money and initial salaries for employment-related projects as well as management consulting, technical expertise, and vocational training. Affordable credit: VNDF provide microloans, consignment capital, and small business development training to help entrepreneurs create their own work opportunities. Access to health care: VNDF undertakes community health assessments in the communities where we target our work to identify prevalent health needs and challenges, we regularly hold free and open workshops for community members on critical public helath topics and we run regular free clinics and provide free or low-cost prescription medication.
