Carolina China Network

The Carolina China Network is an umbrella organization for everything China at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. Through CCN, we aim to bring together students across our campus, other campuses, and international borders with demonstrated interests in Sino-American affairs. Passionate students from around the world are provided with access to leading experts on China and networking opportunities with other students and corporations. We believe promoting dialogue, debates, deep thought, and networking opportunities allows university students to understand China from unique perspectives as they prepare for roles of future leadership in US and China relations.

Mission

Through CCN, we aim to bring together students across our campus, other campuses, and international borders with demonstrated interests in Sino-American affairs. Passionate students from around the world are provided with access to leading experts on China and networking opportunities with other students and corporations. Programs

The Carolina China Network was created to fill a void felt by numerous UNC students as the University's first academically-driven China-related student organization. Regardless of field or major, this generation is interested in China and our organization brings together speakers, students, professors, and resources to encourage collaboration in US-China affairs. Regular events range from a Diaoyu/Senkaku Island discussion to a US-China Comparative Education Seminars, as well as our premier event: the Duke-UNC China Leadership Summit. This past spring during the third annual China Leadership Summit, we hosted over one hundred delegates from universities across the United States, Japan and China. Our world-renowned speakers included the former Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs, the Payne Distinguished Lecturer for International Studies at Stanford University, and the 1993 Recipient of International Democracy Award and Founder of the China Labor Bulletin.
