Cimientos is dedicated to promote equal opportunities in education through programs that encourage school inclusion and improve the quality in education for children and youth from low income families in Argentina.
Cimientos' work is focused on accompanying children attending schools in vulnerable contexts and support, both financially and academically, at this stage of construction of their identity and future.
The Future Graduates Program proposes to accompany children between 12 and 18 years who are in vulnerable situations that jeopardize their schooling. It aims to develop skills and abilities that favor school paths, helping vulnerable children to stay and complete secondary school. Its innovative model empowers students by enabling their access to resources and experiences that help them to achieve successful educational experiences; obtain their secondary school degrees and build a future with more opportunities.
The Graduates Network Program seeks to promote the educational and / or employment placement of students who have completed their school career accompanied by Cimientos. Job and training opportunities are offered and the Network follows up their participation in the various proposals.
Work with school principals aims to create spaces of continuous training for education authorities and secondary schools management teams. The program encourages development of leadership skills and competencies that enable them to guide teaching staffs and the educational proposals of their institutions in processes that improves educational inclusion.
Since 1997 Cimientos works in schools where there are children at risk of not continuing their studies, by implementing strategies focused not only in supporting the students but also in strengthening the schools they attend for better responding to their challenges.
Personalized educational mentoring, financial support, and opportunities for sharing experiences, are the core foundations that distinguish Cimientos' work with students, families, principals and teachers, building supportive networks for a better school life.
In this way Cimientos wish is that the most vulnerable children in Argentina will achieve successful educational experiences, obtain their high school degree, and acquire skills and tools that enable them to build a better future.
