GlobalGiving Site Visit With EDUCA

Children At Lunch
Children At Lunch

In early February I had the privilege of visiting with Fundacion EDUCA and Catherine de la Torre.  Catherine took me to visit the SEDAC pre-school.  It was certainly a memorable afternoon and a true joy to see the amazing work that was being conducted by EDUCA.

Those of you that have contributed to this amazing project are investing your finances towards a meaningful cause.  In addition, the staff at EDUCA are highly dedicated and strive to ensure that quality measures are adhered to and donor dollars are put to best use.

It is without reservation that I recommend the work of EDUCA and the SEDAC school project.  I would highly encourage everyone to consider making a small contribution to support the children of this school and to help EDUCA reach it's fundraising goal of $16,000.  It is MOST CERTAINLY money well spent.

We Are Back!!!

Dear friend donors,

Due to your kind support to our project "Help 455 At-Risk Children in Mexico Stay in School" we have reactivated our project with a new goal of 16,000 USD. SEDAC's students and teachers feel very grateful and would like to know more about you. Moreover, Fundación EDUCA still needs to provide them with monetary resources since they do not have the necessary economic means to fully cover their costs per child.

I would like to remind you that thanks to our help, children have not deserted school; this is because their tuition has not been raised since 2009. Otherwise, parents would reconsider the cost of taking their child to school! We cannot afford losing these potentially developed children from attending. Moreover, the quality of their meals has been improved, since they now count with specialized nutritionist that guides the staff with more healthy food.

Thanks again for your support and we look forward to hearing from you soon!!

Best regards,

The EDUCA Team

Zumpango’s Toy Library Needs Your Help!!

Zumpango’s Toy Library needs your help. With your kind contributions many toys could be purchased, as well as the salary of the librarian.

Let me remind you the positive impact your donations can make! Kids in this area have little or no space for activities that involve playing, recreating, positively socializing, among others. Children and youth in this location are surrounded by a harsh reality, where the toy library reminds them that they are special to the community and that they need to do things the right way. Unfortunately, this place suffers from vandalism and violence everyday, providing little or no better outcomes for the surrounding population.

We need your help to keep this place open and suitably available for the young members of Zumpango. They are EDUCA’s hope of a better society in the State of Mexico!!

Thank you for supporting our project, we hope to know more about you in the future!!!!

Sincerely,

The EDUCA Team
