Do Your Part is a grassroots organization active in disaster and committed to assist in the first response, relief, and recovery of people and animals in need during times of distress. With compassion and diligence we strive to help those affected to regain self-sufficiency and confidence. Do Your Part is involved in, and with, organizations and agencies in an on-going effort to improve Collaboration - Coordination - Cooperation - and especially Communication.

On Saturday, April 25th, 2015, at noon a 7.8 earthquake devastated the valley region of Kathmandu, and destroyed much of the infrastructure along with historic buildings. Children's Festival for 750 Sandy Survivors

The Rockaway and Breezy Point neighborhoods in Queens, NYC suffered catastrophic damage during Superstorm Sandy. The Children's Festival project is inspired by the work of 14 year old Rockaway resident Ariel Creamer, who has made it her goal to bring donations and support to the children in her community. While most of us were watching TV, eating dinner, or even sleeping the Central States were hit by a storm system culminating in tornadoes that left in its path destruction and unconfirmed deaths. At the time this project was written the hardest hit were Mayflower and Vilonia, Arkansas, by a tornado that left a path 30 miles long and half-mile wide. On November 17th, 57 confirmed tornadoes hit the Midwest, ranging from EF0 to EF4. It is reported to be the most violent outbreak of tornadoes ever in the month of November. These tornadoes touched down in Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and Tennessee, the worst of these areas damaged, appears to be in Washington, Illinois. The damage is catastrophic; most survivors were without flood insurance, simply because they were not in flood areas; not until the fires took away their barriers.
