Programs

We own and run a school for the training of Orphaned and Vulnerable Children. This school operates as a vocational school under the Cameroon Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training. We have a four years program preparing students for Cameroon Technical GCE and two years for Advanced Level and National Diploma. We advocate for this children to be supported by those who can give a gift of education to such children. We carry out Community Projects like Health Centres, Water Projects, Agricultural Projects, School Construction Projects, Women Empowerment Projects, HIV/AIDS and Stop the Stigma Project. All these projects are carried according to felt needs of the beneficiaries who are drilled properly on participatory approach method of executing projects. We also work with International Bodies like the Original Volunteers who recruit and supply us volunteers to assist in these projects. International Bund Germany also recruit young people and send to teach in this school as volunteers for a school academic year. These volunteers assist some of our projects in the area of supervision, participating, monitoring and evaluation. We run a Soft/Hardware courses for nine months which gives opportunities for these children to be employed as office workers or computer secretaries. In the Women Empowerment programs, we have structured women into groups called (Common Initiative Groups - CIGs) for easy coordination. We encourage them in their various localities to identify programs that can help them to alleviate poverty, creation of income generating activities as a collective efforts, organizing workshops on various topics that can address some of their issues and improve their living standards. Some of these groups are groups of people living with HIV whom we support and also train them to be peer educators and trainers on the the stop the stigma program.
