SEREP is a non-profit, non-governmental organization situated in Kumbo, Bui Division, North West Region of Cameroon. The area is ranked as amongst the least developed nationally, with limited infrastructure, high birth rate, high unemployment, as well as a high level of HIV/AIDS transmission and widespread poverty. This distressing situation prompted the formation of SEREP in 1997 with an aim of addressing the social problems caused by such and to Serve the underprivileged ones without boundaries. The pupils at Takija Islamic Nursery School don't have a permanent building to learn in. The 58 pupils presently enrolled and all future generations will benefit from a secure learning environment.This school is an eye opener in this rural vicinity of Kumbo. It is very special in that formerly muslims were not very interested in sending their children to school not to talk of sending them to Nursery schools. We are building a school and training centre in the town of Kumbo, Cameroon, providing a safe learning environment, experienced teachers with an aim to sustainably continue to offer educational support services to 100 orphans living in Cameroon yearly as a sustainable project for future generations. This is a micro project to support the women Palm Oil project. We want to acquire one week old chickens and give at least 10 to about 30 women who have been very active in the palm oil project. Each family will be given training on how to keep and fatten Agric fowls for marketing so as to generate recurring income for their families. Children will be trained to help their parents in this project whereby everyone in the family will be involved as the fowls will be sold to help the entire family.
