Montessori Institute Northwest - 2013 Congress

Dr. Maria Montessori established the International Congress in 1929 to raise the awareness and understanding of Montessori education. Since then, 25 subsequent Congresses have followed around the world, with one held approximately every four years. It has been nearly 40 years since the Congress was last held in the United States, and its return is building much excitement. The International Montessori Congress attracts a wide swathe of people interested in both education and the Congress theme, "Montessori: Guided By Nature." The International Montessori Congress attracts a wide swathe of people interested in both education and the Congress theme, "Montessori: Guided By Nature." Attendees will be coming together from around the globe to discuss issues and developments unique to educating children and youth. Although not composing the entire populace, those trained in Montessori will represent the bulk of the Congress attendees.

Programs

The International Montessori Congress is a one time event coming to Portland, Oregon in July of 2013.
