Programs

Foundation University is a 63-year old institution for innovative and affordable private education in the Philippines. Founded during independence by Dr. Vincente G. Sinco, Foundation University opened its doors at the dawn of a new era for the Philippines, a country that emerged at the end of World War II to become Asia's first democracy. From the beginning, the university has been a non-profit, non-sectarian institution, accessible to all. Dr Sinco envisioned a school that afforded anyone with ability and determination the opportunity for a college education, regardless of wealth or social position. He dreamed of a permanent center for teaching and learning that would help the Philippines assume its place among free nations. Currently, Foundation University enrolls about 3,000 students primarily from Negros Oriental province. Course offerings extend from primary through graduate school. Student tuition is about half what it costs to attend a typical private school in the province - and over 400 students also benefit from working or academic scholarships. In 2011, Foundation initiated iPad Learning in its high school classrooms - and in 2012, the school was the first in the Philippines to roll out e-Learning from grades 3-12. Foundation continues to earn recognition as one of the most forward looking institutions of higher learning in the country.
