Mission

Silicon Valley FACES builds a community free of bias, bigotry and violence by transforming youth into community builders and empowering crime victims to thrive.

Programs

Victim Witness Assistance: Reduces the trauma of a violent crime by empowering and assisting crime victims, witnesses and significant others in reconstructing their lives. We provide advocacy, support and referrals for victims of all ages. Camp Everytown: A 4-day, 3-night leadership experience for high school students to create communities of empathy, respect and inclusion by reducing stereotypes. Building Connections: An in-class diversity education program for kindergarten through fifth grade that promotes empathy and problem-solving skills. Extremes of Hate: A critical thinking program for high school students, using the Holocaust and other genocides as historical contexts of the consequences when hate escalates. Common Ground Enrichment Institute: A 5-day summer program for students transitioning from elementary to middle school and middle to high school. Students learn skills to thrive, enjoy school, become leaders and successfully engage in their new school.
