The San Vicente Foundation Children's Hospital was the first to offer this service in Colombia in the year 2000. This service was created in order to reduce the negative emotional impact illnesses had on children who had to remain in the Hospital for extended periods. Each year 5,000 hospitalized children benefit from the Hospital Classroom, which they have affectionately called "Escuelita" (Little School). project reportread updates from the field
