The mission of G.O.A.L (Girls and Guys Organized for Anointed Living, Inc) is to equip young ladies and gentlemen for spiritual, social and personal growth. We provide tools for young ladies and gentlemen to flourish in each season of life through meaningful mentorship, exposure to the arts and ongoing educational opportunities. We host community outreach activities to foster civic and moral responsibility both locally and nationally. Girls & Guys Organized for Anointed Living empower both males and females to develop their communities and become positive role models in due season.
During our Spring seasonal programming we offer our community youth the delightful opportunity to develop their social, presentation and formal etiquette skills. We invite guest speakers who discuss topics that encourage our youth to be positive contributors to society. Our members play an active role planning the program and preparing presentations. Youth members truly develop their skills in all aspects of this program as they participate in running meetings and leading discussions on topics they are passionate about in their local community. In the Summer season we hold literacy campaigns through touring book clubs and community sewing sessions where documentaries are shown that address the state of orphans and those who are at a disadvantage in today's society. Discussions are held to see how we can fulfill our civic duty to give back items sewn with love. Since our community sewing sessions are free we cover the cost of basic materials needed to teach this craft to the local community through public donations. During the Fall season after receiving parental consent we plan to establish a penpal program with partnering overseas organizations to develop the writing skills of our members. We also plan to develop the play writing and acting skills of our community participants through local productions offered for our youth by our youth. Christmas Caroling & Nursing Home Visitations take place in the winter season. Our members and local community members bring cheer and warmth to the homes of the elderly. Meaningful Mentorship takes place as children rehearse and take trips to communities in need alongside their mentors. There is a constant exposure to the Arts as Girls & Guys learn the art of singing while entertaining their elders in nursing homes. Our youth learn Civic Responsibility as we participate in the process of preparing items that will be given to the elderly during Nursing Home's Christmas Holiday parties and Assisted Living Center visitations.
