As a result of the disaster at the Fukushima Nuclear Plant, the children of Fukushima have been forbidden to play outside. In the immediate wake of the disaster, in the summer of 2011, a summer camp was held in Hokkaido for children from Fukushima usually forced to spend most of their time in doors. This proved to be both beneficial to their health and extremely popular with participants. With summer vacation just around the corner once more, we do not want the children to be forced to spend their vacation indoors this year, and would like to provide a similar educational opportunity in which they will be able to learn and grow.
