HeartGift is dedicated to transforming the lives of children with congenital heart defects in regions with limited or no access to necessary medical care. Initially, HeartGift focused on bringing children to our U.S. chapters. In 2021, we expanded efforts to support children closer to home in Asia, Africa, and Latin America by sending medical mission teams and providing free surgeries at hospitals with pediatric cardiac programs. We are committed to fostering sustainable impact by training healthcare professionals to diagnose and manage congenital heart defects, building local capacity, and ensuring continued access to care. Each child who undergoes surgery with HeartGift represents a triumph over insurmountable odds and a testament to compassion and collaboration. By bridging the gap between need and access, HeartGift provides free, life-saving medical care that would otherwise be unattainable, ensuring lasting impacts on children, their families, and their communities.
