To safeguard sea turtle populations, migration routes and habitats, and support activities that increase sea turtle numbers worldwide.
We work to protect and conserve sea turtles through three branches of activities: research, education, and action. We conduct field-based research projects such as nesting monitoring, education programs for schools and community groups, and action such as supporting creation of marine reserves, balloon bans, and field actions such as responding to stranded turtle calls. We also partner with other community groups and research facilities to rehabilitate sick and injured turtles, combat marine debris, and provide safer habitats for resident turtle populations.
