Mission
SUDEF partners with rural village communities in South Sudan to build sustainable, community based solutions to their problems.
Programs
Currently we have two projects operating in Kalthok, South Sudan. The first is a medical clinic built in 2008 that has treated over 25,000 people in 11 surrounding villages. Currently we have almost completed the construction of our Maternal and Child Health and Training Unit in Kalthok. This unit will train area traditional birth attendants, mothers and birth age woman in nutrition, pre-natal and post-partum care and improved methods of delivery. All our projects are a result of extensive community organizing with the local community actively participating in the construction and delivery of services.
