Thank you for your generous support of the Arepa Day! Health and Nutrition for Venezuela campaign.
Your donation is making a significant impact in the lives of children and underserved communities in Venezuela, and we're thrilled to share the incredible work done by two of our trusted nonprofit partners.
OSCASI aims to promote the well-being of low-income communities. Thanks to your generous support, OSCASI has provided deworming treatments to 167 students. These treatments are crucial for improving nutritional intake and controlling infections such as anemia and diarrhea. Additionally, OSCASI has launched a nutritional supplement program, benefiting 34 students who are suffering from malnutrition and anemia. These students now receive nutritional supplements and four daily meals. Learn more about OSCASI and continue supporting their impactful projects.
Organización Nacional de Transplante de Venezuela facilitates organ donation and transplantation in Venezuela. With your help, they have updated the metabolic bone profiles of 40 children with chronic kidney disease at the Nephrology Service of the J. M. de los Rios Hospital. This evaluation has identified children and adolescents with hyperparathyroidism, enabling the adjustment of their treatments. Regular evaluations are essential for these patients, who often face growth issues, fractures, and anemia due to their condition. Additionally, a surgical correction was performed on a 12-year-old boy at the J. M. de los Ríos Hospital, allowing him to progress in his transplantation process. Discover more about the Organización Nacional de Transplante de Venezuela and contribute to their transformative projects.
Stay tuned for next month's update to see the ongoing impact of your generosity. With heartfelt gratitude,
