What Is It All About?

The Youth Leadership Programme is a practical, immersive, 6 month learning experience for university students interested in grassroots development. The programme provides a supportive but challenging environment that encourages participants to test new skills, learn from failure, develop honest communication, constructive feedback, and be creative and imaginative.

Participants are responsible for planning and hosting their own events, visiting local NGOs to complete evaluations and delivering insight on international development to school children. This all takes place with the support and guidance of GlobalGiving staff members and specialists.
Participating in the Youth Leadership Programme is a great way to learn about the charity and development sector, while developing yourself and expanding your skills, knowledge and experience.

"Participation in the programme has been such a rewarding experience for me. Starting from scratch in developing fundraising events as part of the programme gave me a chance to be creative, think outside of the box and utilise my organizational skills." Tina

I definitely improved my communication skills since we are all from different universities and we had to look for other alternatives other than meetings to improve efficiency. I also learned to manage my time better.” Muizz
