Please tell a story about a time when a person or organization tried to help someone or change something in your community:

Assistance To Hiv/aids Victims

Juma is my name. I am HIV positive. Majority of the people in my community are also HIV positive. At first when i learnt of my status i had totally lost hope and just saw my way to the grave. I didn't have enogh money to help myself sustain a good life despite of my condition. Money for good food and ARV's was a major problem not only to me but also to the whole community. Luckily an organisation named APHA 2 visited our village, saw the duplicated conditions of the people living with HIV/AIDS and decided to help. Day by day they used to conduct teachings concerning HIV/AIDS. I can say within a month, i and my fellow victims were just on a different level. Our eyes were open and we saw that AIDS was just like ther diseases and thus therefore there was still hope for living. Far from that they have also assisted us with food, clothing and also drugs to help us deal with our conditions. Ateast i see hope and future in and i give my credit and thanks to them for all they have done to our lives.
