Please tell a story about a time when a person or organization tried to help someone or change something in your community:

Drug Use

It was back in 2005 when a person by name Steve Waweru initiated a program in Mbeere whose aim was to address the issue of drug addiction. Mbeere is a fertile land which community members have really taken advantage over, in growing cash crop and other substantial crops. Some of the crops are known as tobacco, khat commonly known as miraa which has good returns in form of cash after sale. However this has been a great challenge especially for the young population for there has been school drop out posing a great challenge to the literacy level and drug addiction among youth becoming rampant.Steve goal was to bring youths together by coming up with games that are youth friendly. This could get their mind engaged in productive activities and through these games spread of HIV would be controlled. However the government killed this dream by failing to issue license which would have led to this organization recognized not any locally but also nationally and internationally.
