Please tell a story about a time when a person or organization tried to help someone or change something in your community:

Anti-drug Activity

If there is something which should totally be abolished is drug abuse. That causes catastrophis to human health. In my community in Kibera, there was a habit formed by part of the society indulging in drug abuse. This menace brought damages that most of the youth became irresponsible behavior of drinking and smoking resulting to early pregnancy and contracting of the pandemic diseases for instance Aids and HIV positive. A group came up to stop and it was a member of the Nacada fighting drug abuse. Though it was hard to make the youths to stop but the organization tried had to make the society that was gone into drugs to have hopes in life that they can still make it. Some of the affected had already given up with life but the organization of Nacada bore fruits.

  • The organization most involved in what happened: Nacada
