Please tell a story about a time when a person or organization tried to help someone or change something in your community:

Believing In Kindness

I was on a long drive this past weekend and stopped for a rest break. I noticed a man in a wheel chair sitting by a stop sign. He was holding a sign that read "Trying to make it home for the holiday". I quickly dismissed it because, I had no cash to give to him. I watched as people drove by and either ignored him as I stared at him like he was a curiosity sorts. I felt really badly for him. I started to drive away but turned around and asked him if he was hungry. He was shocked that someone was concerned for his well being and said yes. I bought him a soda and offered him some little coins to help him he appreciated so much. As I drove away I said a silent prayer for him so that he could get enough cash to take him home for holidays.
