Please tell a story about a time when a person or organization tried to help someone or change something in your community:

Post Election Violence

I will never forget the days and events that took place in 2007/8 post election violence. People were eager to listen for the coming new president. After the president was announced, chaos broke out because he was wrong president who was not expected. People started fighting among themselves and also went a step further killing among themselves. This resulted in breakdown of buildings and a lot of property was stolen from business centers. People, animals and crops were destroyed by armed men who were spread in the severe places. Many families lost their lives and a lot of blood was shed. The pandemic resulted to lack of food and some resources in the region. Displaced people were sent to IDP camps to settle there and the country had to depend on organizations like the UNICEF and COMESA to import food and facilities to help people affected. Education was also interfered with because many schools opened late and had to keep the candidates ready for the national examinations. From that day, Kenyans do not want to remember what happened and vowed never to repeat such again.
