Please tell a story about a time when a person or organization tried to help someone or change something in your community:

Corruption is a great vice in the development of the community. Corruption mainly involves government officials and officers who demand to be pleased in order to offer their services. Kenya was once ranked as one of the most corrupt countries in the world. In Daadab refuge camp, there are registration officials who demand for fee in order to admit refugees to Kenya despite the fact that the government allows for free admissions. This creates real pressure to the refugees who at times decide to go to back to their countries of origin. The Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission (KACC) has been involved in discouraging corruption activities in Kenya by organising anti-corruption forums and educating the public on the effects of corruption. This is slowly picking up but more emphasies still need to be put in because most citizens also like getting quicker services.

  • The organization most involved in what happened: Kacc
