Village Rapists

A philosopher once said that no news is news unless its to the extreme. In our family we normally go fetch firewood in the bush on Sunday to cater for the whole week.since it was a continuous event and were used to it we felt comfortable with it. One day as we went to the bush as usual, everything went well and when we were almost done a group of strong men came and encircled us, telling us to follow them.since in was the eldest my brain was at work. Then i remembered the story my grandfather told me about the village rapists. I lay flat on the nearest thicket as they passed over me, no sooner had i realized that they left me than i run to our p,lace which was nearer to the scene.I lead the team of villager in to the forest. With respect to most high father we found that they were naked and were starting to do their work. I did not run while i stood firm like a python who wanted to swallow a hen.I felt brave and all of us were safe. The criminals were taken to the council of elders and further to the police. What i brave girl i felt at that time! Surely charity begins at home.
