The Useful Dangerous River Sondu Miriu

It has been known for a long time. The river which originate from Mau forest which is bing threatened by by deforestation.River sondu miriu is really a useful river to the people living next to it but is also dangerous.Ask the sondu residents and they will tell you what i mean by saying dangerous and useful. River sondu miriu helps the residents of soneu with water for domestic use such as bathing, wshing clothers. The water i s also used for irrigation. During day seasons.people come from as far as Chabera and Nyabondo just to get water from the river miriu.Yes it is used for domestic purposes but in which way?Just next to the river banks there are huge rocks on which sondu residents stand on as they bathe. This makes one to wonder.According to the African traditions it is not right to see a person naked but then it is the same tradition which allow room for bathign in such open places.A paradox i term the tradition.Thats not all the residents also use the water for drinking but they also use their river as a urinal pit. This contaminated the water. Many have suffered from water borne diseases. For how long, will this continue?
