''Thousands have been killed in Eldoret during the disputed election results violence,''The news reporter said i listened quietly to the radio as cold chills kept on going up and down my spine.''Why did this have to happen,''i asked myself.I switch off the radio and took my favourite novel out to read.Later i heard comotion outside our house.Fear possessed in me.I gathered courage and opened the window just to have a panorama of what was taking place. It was my neighbour, kamau and my churchmates. There was a scufle .The scuffle then turned out to open a pandora box for violence.Within a few minutes,it was clashes. The cause of fight? The election results intelligent enough i realised it was a tribal war.Kamau my neighbour was a kikuyu and my church members were Luos. The war kept on attacking many people especially youths who raided the houses set them ablaze.Later, raided the cops arrived like angels from heaven ready to stop the war but all were in vain what ws i to do alond in the house?Where could i go to as the gate was crowded with angry wananchis i couldn't het the best way of escaping. All i remembered was that i ws inside a church ,askinf myself,Did it really have to happen?''
