Please tell a story about a time when a person or organization tried to help someone or change something in your community:

Volunteering To Reach Out For Others In Need.

My name is Geoffrey Barasa aged 40, married with 4 children. I am involved in the County development affairs since 2009. I have laid down my life being a pastor, for orphans sponsoring two of them up to form 4. I have also founded 2 Self Help Groups to respond to the needs of the community. I am the treasurer of the Kakamega County Forum and member of the Pastoral Training Centre to provide formal education and literacy. In doing so we empower the members to live productively so as to overcome poverty. I also get out of my way to support some widows at a very personal level, this fulfills my joy to affect others positively. Therefore I have felt good contributing to the community's development. For some of these engagements to continue on, I really wish I could get in touch with any form of support.
