Please tell a story about a time when a person or organization tried to help someone or change something in your community:

Help The Helpless

The day was just perfect .Not cold. Not hot .The birds were singing their melody jumping from one tree to another .We seated in the living room with my family waiting anxiously for the announcement of who was to be the president of Kenya. After a few minutes or so it was announced that Hon Mwai won .It was a sign of belief since we had waited patiently. Not even ten minutes had passed we heard screams all over the place .My heart beat like the west African drams that threatened to come out of my skiny body. What we saw could make lucifer himself run and never look back.Suddenly we heard "please help us", they said we opened the door it was a man and his family looking so hopeless. They told us that the story of how their property was stolen and their house burnt down. They only place they could run for refuge was our house .My family was humble we had little to offer but we took them in and provided for food ,clothes and shelter.
