Please tell a story about a time when a person or organization tried to help someone or change something in your community:

Greed By Africans

Some two years back an organization by the name Maji na ufanisi came up in all our community. It consisted of some of our community members and the head were european. They set their eyes on a piece of land which was consisting of toilets. They had brought down some toilets before and had replaced them with the ones you had to pay five shillings to relieve yourself. So the landlords and ladies who had built their toilets there heard the organization was going to seize the land they went to the local chief to oppose this plan. The chief stopped the destruction of the toilets so that he could solve the problem first. The organization used the locals to present the reasons why they wanted to bring own the toilets. The said the place was unhygienic and it could cause to an outbreak of diseases. Since they had money to bribe the chief, he gave them permission to bring down the toilets. The locals wrote a letter to the head of the organization demanding for compensation. When money was sent the locals who were in the organization were the ones who benefited from it. The toilets were brought down and new ones were built. The ones which were built were charged five shillings. Since the locals did not have money to pay for the whole family of maybe seven people have turned to polythene papers. They relieved themselves on the polythene bags and dispose them to the trenches which makes the place very unhygienic, more than it ever was.
